In-person photography workshops are back!!!
The last in-person workshop I held was in January of 2020! It’s been a long three years. And friends. I’ve missed you. SO, I’m excited to share, that I’m bringing in-person workshops back in 2023!

Business Workshops
This year I’m offering two business and marketing workshops for members of Amplified, my mastermind-style mentoring program.
At these events, we will work on creating targeted goals and strategic planning to ensure that each member has the tools they need to turn their goals into a reality.
Lighting & Film Workshops
Crafting the Natural Light Look is a two-day workshop that will take place on May 10th &11th.
In this class, I’ll walk you step by step through my signature method for creating natural-looking light with strobes and flash AND show you how to achieve a dark and moody look using a one-light approach.
We’ll cover equipment, setup, settings, metering, and lighting patterns for a multitude of looks. Participants will get hands-on practice and I’ll be right there by your side to answer any questions you may have.
You’ll walk away knowing everything you need to know to create beautiful natural-looking light with strobes and flash!
Film for the Studio Photographer is also a two-day workshop and will take place on September 6th & 7th.
In this class attendees will learn:
The differences and similarities between film and digital
How a camera meter works and how to meter for film
The different film stock options and how they affect your photo
How to use both natural and artificial light when working indoors
How find the right lab to process your images
Attendees will also get the chance to practice their new skill, working with models in-studio!
Posing & Portfolio Building
In addition to lighting and film workshops, I’ll also be hosting two posing and portfolio-building clinics. One naturally inspired posing for newborns and families and one on maternity posing and workflow!
All programs are FREE to certification members
I’m also THRILLED to share that I’m launching a Sandra Coan Certification program in 2023! And all in-person workshops are included with the certification tuition.

Sandra Coan Certified photographers are highly skilled maternity, newborn, and family photographers who have been trained and tested in the Sandra Coan Method and demonstrate mastery in the areas of Light, Exposure, Naturally Inspired Posing, Composition, Processing, and Consistency.
They adhere to the principle of baby-led posing in their newborn work. They have a robust portfolio, full of exemplary work. Their images have been evaluated and scored. And their work has earned them Sandra’s seal of approval and trust.
