What Every Photographer Needs to Know About Branding

Okay. Today is the day I’m going to share something that I’ve only recently started saying out loud. Here it goes.

I never intended to become a full time photographer.

In the beginning, I didn’t think “photography” was even a real job.

I was just trying to make a little extra money on the side.

AND, once I did decide to try to make photography work as a career, I made just about every mistake a person can make when it comes to running a business. I even got to the point of almost quitting. Thankfully I didn’t, and decided instead to focus on learning the fundamentals of marketing, branding and business. Now I have a thriving studio and support my family doing what I love!

And if I can do it, anyone can!

Recently, I sat down and talked with Raymond Hatfield from The Beginner Photography Podcast and to share what I’ve learned over my twenty years in business. In this interview, we talk mostly about what every beginner needs to know about branding.

  • What branding is

  • How branding can make you money

  • And the one questions you can as yourself today to start building a a successful brand
