Branding VS Marketing: What's the difference and how do they work together?
Having a really strong brand is essential to having a strong business. When you have a strong brand, everything else in your business get easier—including your marketing!
HIGHLIGHTS
Your brand is about you.
Your brand is not your logo, colors and fonts. Your brand is your personality, style and what people feel when they think about you and what you do. As a photographer, your brand is about your work. When your photos pop up in someone's feed, they should be able to recognize your work if you have a strong brand.
Branding is an introduction to you, and marketing is a conversation. It is where you answer all the questions others have about what you do. Through marketing, you solve problems. Your marketing is a help desk.
Ask yourself: what is your brand? What is it that you do? Are you crystal clear on it and consistent on doing it? Next, are you using your clear, consistent brand in conversations in your marketing?
